Garden Village Primary Academy
At the heart of a new community
Garden Village Primary Academy will be a new free school on the site of the former Tamworth Golf Course Site, Eagle Drive, Amington. The school will serve the new housing development of 1100 dwellings.
The school will be a 210-place mainstream, co-educational primary school for Reception to Year 6 cohorts (aged 5-11) with early years provision equivalent to 26 part-time places due to open in September 2024. In the first year of opening, children will be admitted to the Nursery and Reception only, in the second year of opening a further Reception intake will be admitted and the school will continually grow in this way until there are pupils in all age groups, seven years after opening. The school is being designed to enable further expansion in the future as the demand for places increases.
Nursery, holiday, before and after school childcare will be available for working parents and carers through an established provider run by the Trust - Our Pride, Our Joy. This successfully operates in the Trust’s existing academies. Early education and childcare will be offered flexibly in response to the childcare needs of families.

Nursery Information
In Our Pride Our Joy nurseries we follow a 'child initiated' curriculum which enables children to follow their own interests and learn through quality play, whilst being supported by qualified and experienced staff. Staff are trained to observe the children and look for 'teachable moments' in which to intervene and support the child to their next steps.
We have full access to the outdoor areas throughout the sessions and in all weathers, so children can choose their preferred area to learn within a well-thought-out, enabling environment.
Parents are kept informed of their child's progress through secure online accounts which they can read, enjoy and add to so that they can play a part in the 'learning journey' their child travels along whilst with us.
Care Club Information
At Garden Village our wrap around care starts at 7:30 am and finishes at 6.00 pm.
We have qualified members of staff who provide planned activities for your children to join in with and have the exciting addition of a forest to play games in. Our on-site catering team provide a selection of healthy breakfast choices and an afternoon snack to ensure you can go to work knowing your child/children are well looked after.
