Welcome to Glascote Nursery!

The children have settled into nursery life quickly, working on learning new routines and remembering rules and boundaries. They are continuing to develop their independence skills and have all mastered the 'magic coat', which has supported lots of self-confidence.

We are looking after the birds that visit us daily, and enjoyed exploring the ice and snow recently.

Following the children's interests resulted in us setting up a hairdressing salon which promotes lots of new language, imagination, memory recall and social skills of turn taking and co-operation.

The children really enjoy working with their key worker in the morning, focussing on language development, listening skills, maths and understanding feelings and emotions.

We are continuing to enjoy a weekly visit from Donna from Learn and Sign, who teaches us new Makaton signs and songs. Mrs Tarpey is also leading her weekly yoga sessions for our Well-being Wednesday.

We will be very busy over the coming weeks as we support the children to reach their next steps and look forward to hatching our very own chicks. What an amazing experience to look forward to.
